Debbie's OCMC Trek4Missions Page
Welcome to my OCMC 2020 Virtual Trek4Missions page. During these challenging times, two things remain important to me: maintaining my personal health and helping send OCMC missionaries to the ends of the earth to preach the Gospel of Christ! I pledge to get outside and complete 120 miles by hiking and walking for Orthodox mission work.
Over the next five weeks, from August 9 to September 14, I hope to raise awareness and funding for OCMC's efforts to make disciples of all nations by bringing people to Christ and His Church. There are over 1 billion people who have yet to hear the Gospel message. They cannot be reached unless there are missionaries to send.
OCMC is supported by individuals like you and me. Donations large and small help OCMC to recruit, train, send, and support missionaries who are taking up their cross to follow Christ.

Week 4 - What a Week!
What a busy week it was! I am so close to my revised goal ... 96.12 miles completed towards 100 miles. I am going to up my goal one more time ... to 120+ total miles for my Trek4Missions challenge. I think I can do this! Our team of five people have collectively completed 389.44 out of our 500 miles goal and is just $55.00 shy of a $1,100.00 fundraising goal. We appreciate any help to meet and/or exceed our fundraising goal.
Please continue to pray for everyone during these challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Some states are seeing increases in positive tests and we want to keep everyone safe and healthy including all who are working to help OCMC and their missionaries.

Week 3 - Miles Reached!
Hello everyone! I *never* thought with everything going on that I would reach my initial goal of 75 miles within 3 weeks - but I did! So happy that God has blessed me with the ability to do this for OCMC and their mission work. I am modifying my goal to 100 miles. This week will be a bit crazy with the start of the fall term at my college but I believe that God will help me achieve it!
Our team is just $5.00 shy of reaching our fundraising goal. Can you help us out?

Week 1
I made it through week 1 with 24.5 miles! During those miles, I reached my personal 300th mile of hiking since I started in the summer of 2017. The milestone felt good to reach and it had more meaning knowing that it is helping OCMC!
Our team collectively logged over 100 miles in week 1 ... awesome job fellow trekkers! The continued support and kind words shared keep us pushing forward on this trek and makes a positive impact on our team! Thank you and God Bless!
