Aqua Padre
Welcome to my Swim for Hope fundraising page hosted on the 2020 Virtual Trek4Missions event site.
My name is Fr. Simeon Corona, otherwise known as Aqua Padre. I serve the faithful of St. Gregory of Nyssa Greek Orthodox Church in El Cajon, CA. Since 2015, I have organized long swim fundraisers known as the Swim For Hope to support various nonprofit ministries here and abroad. Every year we raise about $16,000 to help fund our friends.
In 2020, during these challenging times in the face of the global pandemic, the Swim For Hope crew and I are determined to complete another swim. We aim to inspire hope by completing the swimmer’s dream and our longest swim yet, the Catalina Channel. This 20-mile trek is one of the most popular swims in the world. Every member, swimming or kayaking, is thrilled to take on this amazing feat.
For this event, we are committed to raising $20,000. All proceeds will go to support the mission work of two wonderful organizations that we hold close to our heart. Project Mexico, our long-time friends and beneficiary, and OCMC our partner and Donation Portal for this year’s swim.
Join me and consider sponsoring myself or one of my fellow crew members on our trek. Visit our pages for updates on our journey or to donate directly.
