Welcome to the 2020 Virtual Trek4Missions!

The Orthodox Christian Mission Center (OCMC) invites all local parishes and Orthodox mission supporters across the nation. We begin on the Feast of the Glorification of St. Herman of Alaska (August 9) and conclude on the Feast of the Elevation of the Life-Giving Cross (September14).

 What is a Virtual Trek4Missions?

The Virtual Trek4Missions is an interactive event like a virtual 5k or cycling event, that brings awareness and raises funds Orthodox Missions. This event is about staying healthy, having fun outdoors, and uniting as the Body of Christ during these challenging times. There are no lines, specific event locations, or parking frustrations. All proceeds help support OCMC’s efforts to recruit, train, and send missionaries who in obedience to the Lord are taking up their cross and following Him to the ends of the earth to preach the Gospel (Mark 10:21).

 Our goal:

To virtually complete 60,000 collective miles and raise $100,000.

We challenge parishes to form a Trek Team of at least 10 members to complete a minimum of 1,200 miles and raise at least $2,000 in 5 weeks! How cool would it be to virtually travel Ss Cyril & Methodius’s 760+ mile journey from Rome to the Moravia Region? Or contribute to St. Herman’s 7,300-mile trek from Valaam Monastery to Kodiak, Alaska?
